چکیده
Abstract Background and Aims The wild carrot (Daucus carota L.) is famous for its dark flowers in the umbel center. Several studies have been conducted to figure out their functional significance, but evolution of center remains an enigma. In present paper, we consider all known apioid species with dark-centered umbels get a deeper understanding biology evolution. Methods Based on herbaria studies, literature, field work, reconstructed distribution area 10 (seven genera, six clades) Apiaceae-Apioideae. To recognize homology structures, developmental were Artedia squamata L. Echiophora trichophylla Sm. Field included architecture, flower morph (andromonoecy), flowering sequence plants, abundancy behavior visitors, preliminary manipulation experiments (removal/adding structures). Key Results structures are not homologous each other. Daucus alliance, central or umbellets colored, whereas other brush-like (Artedia squamata) club-shaped (Dicyclophora persica Boiss., Echinophora trichophylla, Tordylium aegyptiacum (L.) Poir., T. cappadocicum Boiss.) develop from naked receptacle. Species andromonoecious, modular architecture multicyclic protandrous sequence. Among many beetles most abundant group. Only visitors found both phases recognized as possible pollinators. Manipulation indicated that influence some, visitors. massive gall infection was observed. Conclusion It evident evolved several times parallel. brush- interpreted mutants affecting development. Dark centers likely stabilized by selection due general adaptive function. Their appearance hotpot beetle pollination gives rise assumption they may act marks.

development and implementation of an optimized control strategy for induction machine in an electric vehicle
in the area of automotive engineering there is a tendency to more electrification of power train. in this work control of an induction machine for the application of electric vehicle is investigated. through the changing operating point of the machine, adapting the rotor magnetization current seems to be useful to increase the machines efficiency. in the literature there are many approaches wh...

Development of woody branch attachments in Schefflera (Araliaceae or Apiaceae).
Attachment of branches in Schefflera is unusual in that it involves fingerlike woody extensions that originate in the cortex and pass gradually into the woody cylinder of the parent shoot. We tested the hypothesis that these structures could be roots since Schefflera is a hemi-epiphyte with aerial roots. These branch traces originate by secondary development in the many leaf traces (LTs) of the...
متن کاملTranscriptome Analysis of Thapsia laciniata Rouy Provides Insights into Terpenoid Biosynthesis and Diversity in Apiaceae
Thapsia laciniata Rouy (Apiaceae) produces irregular and regular sesquiterpenoids with thapsane and guaiene carbon skeletons, as found in other Apiaceae species. A transcriptomic analysis utilizing Illumina next-generation sequencing enabled the identification of novel genes involved in the biosynthesis of terpenoids in Thapsia. From 66.78 million HQ paired-end reads obtained from T. laciniata ...
